How are we doing?

Hi girls!

How goes the workouts? I've been using the stationary bike quite a bit this week, since its cold rainy and dark most of the hours I'm awake. Oh wait, it's cold rainy and dark all day.

I didn't exercise Thursday, due to giving blood, got back to it Friday, then missed yesterday. So, I guess I'll be running or something this afternoon.

How is everyone else doing? Keeping active? Lots of variety, or trying to stick to a routine?

p90x

I think I finally figured out what Michelle's workout regime is called... but no matter the name, it was a lot of work! Heather and I joined Michelle for one LONG workout today, and I believe I speak for us all when I say: Damn I'm sore. I know i'll feel worse tomorrow. EW

I'm proud of all of us working on being healthier. Lets keep it up, and I'm up for exercising with anyone this week. I've got... nothin going on all week. except for the job search and studying for the GREs.

Birthday Run

Well, as you all know, the birthday run was a success and not at the same time.

Roman and I have scheduled going to the gym today at 2:30. I'm going to do weights, as I'm going to rest on the cardio for today.

Thanks everyone for a great second half of my birthday!

I'm SO Old.....

Yesterday I ran just over a mile, I did the small loop around my house. BUT then I went to the gym with Roman and went to a Yoga class. The instructor was mediocre at best, but she did make us do abs, so they hurt today.

I didn't actually exercise today (not counting walking.....well hobbling to school and back twice)

however this whole eating breakfast thing isn't working out for me to well. Today I got up with enough time to take a shower and hobble to school. I didn't even have a chance to go into the kitchen....Tomorrow though, I'm at least grabbing an apple FYI.

Tomorrow I plan on attending a spinning class at the gym. It's at 6:30, so we could make it to a potential weigh in for 8:00......or I can stop by earlier and Michelle can input me on the side. Either way......

Till Tomorrow

Ouch!

So I didn't go running today, I took the day off to rest my legs. I'm actually walking slightly hunched over like a little old lady. Did however eat in moderation and I think I'll have a little sorbet for dessert. Will continue my jog/running tomorrow.

Day 2

Well I
ve jsut returned from a 2 mile run and I didn't die. Yay me. Now for a hot shower. And man are my thighs burning :)

Most Important Meal

Thats right kids! Lets talk breakfast.

If you've got weightloss on the agenda, eating breakfast is one of the smartest things to do! I'm not talking a Michael Phelps sized meal! But find something that kick starts your day. I've been eating Corn Flakes with a picture of Michael on the box... I just try not to look at his face.

WebMD is one of my favorite medical websites, and HERE is what they have to say on breakfast.

On a seperate note, do we want to do a weigh in at the end of this week? I'm sure Michelle and Kevin have all of their specs written down, but maybe we could all do a healthy dinner together as well.

Have a great Tuesday!

Sucess!

Liz R and I successfully navigated 2 miles today at Log Boom! My foot felt fine, but now my knee hurts. I'm falling apart at the seams.

Tomorrow I'm going to run around my house and dust the cobwebs off my wii fit. I hope that all of your workouts were as successful as ours.

I haven't signed up yet, but I will definitely run Bloomsday with Liz S. And I'm also saving up to do the Danskin this year. I found that signing up for these races and PAYING your hard earned unemployment moneys for them make you even more motivated to strive to that goal. The Bloomsday dash is before the Danskin so it's a great training tool. PS, FYI the Danskin is a tri.

I'm really excited to run/power walk with Liz R tomorrow. We are going to run on the Burke Gilman trail starting at the Log Boom park. My foot is still hurting so I don't know how much actual running I will be doing, but I'm charging my I Pod in anticipation anyway.

Today I started to gear up for the crash course in jumping right back into working out by cleaning out my car, putting Christmas away, laundry, and trying to reorganize this house back into a semblance of order.

Ok all, Wish me luck at my first day of school tomorrow!
Good idea on making a blog Liz. If I cannot hide from my accountability buddies, I am more likely to actually make this resolution work out. As for my preparation, I have set up the garage for P90x (pads on the floor, pull up bar in place, weights purchased, etc.). I start the program tomorrow.

Running

Apparently, I'm going running tomorrow with Heather. Not sure if I'll succeed or just have side pains from being out of shape. To be continued...

Bloomsday!

I'll be running Bloomsday this year! Again.

Its a 12k road race in lovely Spokane, WA.

registration before April costs $15.
Race day is May 2nd.
